Universal planning For THE MUMMY Reboot!

It's been four years since we last saw Universal churning out THE MUMMY: TOMB OF THE DRAGON EMPEROR (2008) and now the studio has decided to reboot the whole MUMMY franchise by tapping PROMETHEUS scribe Jon Spaihts to write a new material. Here's what Spahits has to say about writing the reboot.

I see it as the sort of opportunity I had with 'Prometheus': to go back to a franchise's roots in dark, scary source material and simultaneously open it up to an epic scale we haven't seen before.
